Clinical Laboratory Science Training Program

Summer 2027 application- anticipated training start date July 19, 2027

Dear Applicant,

Thank you for your interest in CLS Training. Any application materials required by the applicant (Application Form, Course History Form, Work History Form and Personal Statement) will not be accepted after the application deadline. Please note- only local applications are reviewed. No out of area applications are considered, all qualified applicants must be currently living and working within a 45-minute commute to a training site in Sacramento for training with UCDH or Sutter Sacramento. For those applying to train under Sutter Modesto current living and work location must be within a 45-minute commute to Modesto. Marshall Medical Center in Placerville may accept a student in Summer 2027 and will also only review local applicants to Placervlle,

The program provides a 10-day grace period for letters of recommendation. All recommendations must be submitted by January 11, 2027 by 5PM.

Please do NOT send in official transcripts unless requested by the program director. All training acceptances are contingent upon applicant self-reported GPA verification.

For new applicants and re-applicants (repeated application attempt), please begin your application by clicking "register" in the upper right-hand corner. Each application cycle is an independent event. All previous applicants must register for each cycle. If you are a repeat applicant, please email [email protected] and notify the program of your interest in re-application.  Each repeated application cycle will require one new letter of recommendation- previously submitted letters will be forwarded to the current application folder.

VERY IMPORTANT:

Be sure to read the application requirements here before you start your application. The deadline to submit your application is January 1, 2027 at 5 pm PST. All applicant forms must be submitted by the deadline, no late persomal statements, applicaton, course history or work history forms will be accepted.  Letters of recommendation are provided a 10-day grace period after the application closing date. All recomendations must be submitted by January 11, 2026 by 5 PM.

The application will not be marked complete until all required components are successfully uploaded including (1) the application form (2) the course history form (3) the work history form (4) the statement of purpose (5) the three letters of recommendation, and (6) the contact information form. The letters of recommendation are provided a 10-day grace period, but are required, failure to have three recommendations on file by end of the grace period will result in an incomplete application, which will not be reviewed by the selection committee.
